I keep getting very strong period like symptoms. Tummy and lower back as if I'm getting a bad period. I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant. Should I be worried?

No I used to get these all the time, just growing and stretching.

2-3 weeks pregnant is very very early I I persume you havnt missed a period yet? Some women get period pains around the time they are due on. The day I tested with my 2nd I was in agony and thought I was going to have the worst period ever turned out I was just pregnant so it can be normal I was around 5-6 weeks at the time x

Hi. My period was a day later but we had been trying and so I did a test. It's a digital one and told me I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant. It's so early stages I'm wondering if I'm just going to miscarry. I didn't know you'd get such bad "period" pains at this early stage.

Im 8 weeks now and i had loads of period type pain, stretching and cramps for a few weeks, i kept thinking it was all over but its ok, its only just calming down now, my midwife told me its all just things stretching and baby getting it's self nestled in, unless you experience any blood then theres no need to worry

I’ve found I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant too as a nurse I know pains and bleeding can be normal in first few weeks implantation pains and bleeding. Although I still went to my gp and he referred me for scan but they don’t scan under 6 weeks. It’s so scary I don’t think I’ll be able to function. I really hope everything’s ok for you pain can be totally normal it just horrible having to wait. Xx

I'm the same just a few days past due period (found out early at 7dpo) and in getting quite a bit of pain. Some very typically period pain like and then these shooting pains down below too. If I do too much my entire fanny hurts Blush very much hoping that in a week it will have stopped or I will have stopped panicking!!

JC18 · 05/11/2019 21:37

Omg Im getting those shooting pains in my vagina too! It's such a weird sensation.

@JC18 if the test says 2-3 weeks that means since conception so you're more likely to be 4-5 weeks
But yes some stretching it normal I had it throughout the first and second trimester. In early pregnancy I was convinced my period was coming.
They say not to worry if there's blood or the pains are worse than period pains, and even the everything could be fine.

It's comforting to know that this isn't only just me. Fingers crossed we're all OK xxx

Hiya Daisy May. I had a period 1 - 5 October. I was ovulating 19/20 Nov when we had unprotected sex. My period was due 1 November. Did a test 2 Nov and it said 2 - 3 weeks. Do you think I could be pregnant longer than that?!

JC18 · 05/11/2019 22:02

EDIT: was due period 3 Nov, did test 4 Nov.

@JC18 if your last period started on 1st October then you are exactly five weeks pregnant today 😊
The midwife will date it using this too (until 12 week scan)

Mimi2022 · 01/06/2022 08:56

When did the pains stop? Or calm down?
