Private gender scan? Yes or no?

I'm 16 weeks today and thinking of getting an early gender scan in the next week simply because I'm impatient and also the place I'd like to does a really nice gender package. I'm also moving in two weeks so would like to be able to make a start on the nursery.

However I know there's not a 100% guarantee even though the place says they're 99.8% accurate. So I'm a bit worried I'd go and they'd say it's one sex and then it end up being the other!

Anyone got any advice on whether it's worth it or if I should just wait? Or have any experience positive negative?

The gender package includes: gender confirmation, digial photos, physical photos, a 4d peek, a teddy bear with the heartbeat in it and a gender reveal box - think it sounds really nice!

I'm a bit impatient and will be 16 weeks on Sunday. I have my gender scan booked for Monday - I'll be 16+1. I say go for it!

UPDATE:

I went for my scan, it was AMAZING and well worth the money! I even got a teddy elephant with my baby's heartbeat in it! I'm having a little boy!

Jesus wept someone’s had their corn flakes shat in this morning.

Anyhoo.. I’ve had two private “gender” scans, simply because I wanted to, our area have strict rules of one person per scan and we won’t tell you the sex of the baby at 20weeks. So it meant I could take dm, dp, Dgm and their was space for mil too. My dgm had never seen a moving ultrasound (she’d only seen printed images and heard my cousins heartbeat on a Doppler 16years ago) so to her it was magical seeing him wiggle about, it took her a bit to work out the 4d as the sonographer had zoomed in from full body to head level. So far one of the scans was 100% right.. he’s 7months old and I’ve changed enough nappies to say he’s a boy. Number twos cooking but again.. even on the ultrasound you know what a penis looks like, maybe little girls are harder to see?

And if it interests anyone our nursery’s are white n grey, ds’s is dumbo stuff I’d wanted from 12weeks. And I’ve not picked up “decor” for number two yet but I’ll probably go with something similar until they can choose a theme when they’re older rather than spending loads on something for a short time.
