I’m a completely paranoid crazy person when it comes to food & what I am/ am not allowed but I am not sure about Dairylea & I really want it! My brain says it should be fine as it’s so processed I can’t see any bacteria staying but yet I’m still a bit nervous to eat it. I’m just under 12 weeks pregnant. Any ideas?

It's fine, eat it!

Crystal87 · 05/11/2019 13:50

It's absolutely fine. It's pasteurised. Eat and enjoy.

GrumpyHoonMain · 05/11/2019 13:50

Yes.

Crystal87 · 05/11/2019 13:51

The soft cheeses you're meant to avoid are things like brie, camembert and gorgonzola. Cheese spreads are fine.

dementedpixie · 05/11/2019 13:51

Of course you can, why would you not?? Its soft blue veined and mould ripened that you should avoid although if they've been cooked they're ok too.

I recommend the book Expecting Better if you are nervous about certain foods, it puts the risks into context and helps you make your own decisions on what is worth the risk.

leghairdontcare · 05/11/2019 15:26

I wouldn't - nothing to do with being pregnant though Grin

aliensprig · 05/11/2019 18:27

@leghairdontcare I was about to post the same thing 🤢

Crazybunnylady123 · 05/11/2019 18:45

I recently got my bfp and feeling pretty rough. The only thing I could get down was cheese triangles! lol

Bol87 · 05/11/2019 18:50

Yes! Dairylea was one of the only things I could stomach at the height of my HG! I still eat Dairylea dunkers as a snack at work Grin
