Morning all - with the news that the temperature is due to plummet this week, I think it's time I finally bought a coat that fits me (I'm 28 weeks). I'm weighing up between a JoJo 2in1 parka £80 and a Seraphine 3in1 for £150. They both sat suitable for baby wearing, but the Seraphine one looks much better built for it... Can anyone offer any experience?

Thanks.

I’ve just bought one from JoJo. It’s blue and very warm. A similar style/fit to their parka, but a couple of pounds cheaper. I bought the size up so I have room to grow and I can put baby and the sling in once born (due 2 Feb). I was going to go for one from Seraphine, but I wasn’t sure how it would fit and look and I didn’t want to fuss around with buying and sending back if wrong, especially as it’s getting really cold now. Really worth going into JoJo and trying on. I think they’re running a 15% VIP shopping experience now too. They gave me a leaflet when I was in store on Saturday. If you book an appointment and then make a purchase you get 15% off and a goody bag. The leaflet says it covers all nursing and maternity products so should cover coats too.

I'm considering buying an extender (here) that can just be zipped in to my normal clothes, but by the time I've bought the fleece liner and the various zips it's £50, and I'm thinking I might as well just buy a proper coat for that money.

My ski jacket has just become uncomfortable, so I've nicked one of DP's jackets for now, but I'm not sure how long that will last me tbh.

I got one from vertbaudet for about £25 a few months ago, it comes with a panel so can be used for baby wearing too. Very cozy. Might be worth a look.

I've had one from next which was 58. It looks similar to the JoJo one x

I never bought a maternity coat, just sized up a normal one, I was biggest in the middle of winter & I never struggled to get in the one I had, plus it had a drawstring waist & I used it the winter after as well.

I have bought the Seraphine 3 in 1, and it's great and warm. I went a size up and at 35 weeks now I can only just fasten it up, so I have used the extender now which works well but doesn't look great without a baby in a sling! The key thing for me the warmth of the jacket and being able to use the sling with it as it will be very useful for the school runs in the winter. My only dislike of the jacket is that it is very heavy to wear.

I have the seraphine one but went for the lighter weight rather than the winter one. Can't recommend it enough as I have worn it daily for the last year and a half! I made sure it was large enough to fit a big jumper underneath for winter and is great without for spring and autumn. It has a lining layer you can popper in to make it warmer. Looks good even when not pregnant or baby wearing :)

I had the JoJo one and loved it. Still wear it without the panel in now as a regular coat!!
