Any new mums want to WhatsApp? Day 3 and feeling very alone

Hi All,
I’m on the day three hormone surge and am feeling so horribly low and lonely! Wasn’t the easiest of births or recovery- finally home today but have no new mum friends yet, unlike with my first, so feel very alone without someone to chat to who’s going through it too! Any takers want to share this weird time?

BTW, day 3 is the worst from a hormones perspective I think. So it gets better...

Have a look online and in your local paper to see if there are any mum groups locally. Where I live, in the sticks now, there is one for mums to get together and chat. Also mention how you're feeling to the midwife and health visitor as they may put you in touch. My health visitor told me a woman round the corner had just had a baby and I plucked up courage and knocked on her door and we have been friends ever since. Was living in London then, so had to get up my courage in a place where you often don't know neighbours, but what's to lose?

I had a baby 16 days ago and days 3-4 were 100% the worse for emotions. I cried constantly for days. I also had a pretty traumatic labour and really struggled with it all but it does get better and I’m finding it easier now. I joined a Facebook group for babies due in October 19 and it’s been a great support and can always talk to others, ask questions and makes you realise others are going through the same thing so maybe that’s something you could do xx
