Hi everyone,

I sent my application off 3 weeks ago recorded delivery. I can see it was delivered and signed for and have since received my original payslip back with a note saying they had taken copies but no other info.

I read previously people had a text around the 8 day mark updating them on their claim and how long it would take to process but I have not had anything.... how long should I wait before checking in?

I know there is an 8 week backlog but just havent had any comms and it sounds like others have by this time?

Thanks
C

I'm sorry I cant help on what you are asking but when is the earliest you can send off for MA? My Baby is due end of march/early april and want to make sure the money comes in for then.

We had to wait for a form from the midwife. U need it as part of the application.... we got our about 24 weeks but not sure if you can ask for it earlier?

You can apply from 26 weeks and I’d advise you doing that if you can, the backlog is currently 14 weeks rather than 8.

OP, if you call the Mat Allowance info line at DWP they will be able to see your claim based on your national insurance number.
