Due June 2020 after IVF

Hi all
Currently 7w6 -had my viability scan yesterday at my clinic and all went well. Still feeling very anxious -as I know all of you guys who have gone through IVF treatment and infertility will appreciate. Now its the long wait till the 12 week scan. Considering doing the harmony tests at 10 weeks.

Anyone hope everyone’s pregnancies are going well. I had a big bleed at 5 and half weeks and previous miscarriage which has got me very nervous. Hopefully we can last the time together.

I’m lucky to have not really suffered any symptoms -maybe some mild nausea but really not much at all so far. I did wake up with horrible power back ache yesterday morn tho and it hasn’t gone since. Has anyone else had this?? EDD is June 14th.

Firstly congratulations on becoming pregnant! I am in the two week wait of IVF after my embryo transfer on Halloween. I too have endured a miscarriage in the past, (at 6 weeks from natural conception) so I appreciate some of what you are experiencing.
I have it in my mind that I won't be able to enjoy my pregnancy till the 3 month mark and I have a long way to go.
I think it's a very tricky balancing act between allowing yourself to get excited about being a mum and not getting too carried away till you're out of the danger zone.
Im considering having acupuncture to manage the underlying anxiety and getting more relaxation time. Feel reassured you have got to this stage and try to distract yourself from negativity and worry.

Hi Mouse, I just want to say congrats, I recognise your name from the IVF boards. Think we are due around same time, had the 7 week scan and have booked in for a private at 10 /11 weeks.
I've been having the nausea feeling quite constant but not actually been sick. & Heartburn began yesterday!

Hi @mouse1234567 and huge congratulations! I'm in a similar boat to you - IVF baby due in June. I found it a big reassurance having the early viability scan and my anxiety is reducing slightly every day. I've decided not to have the 10 week scan my clinic offers but just wait to 12 weeks and hope all is well! I thought if I had another scan I just wouldn't be able to think about anything else..

Ive not had many symptoms either. I've heard being on progesterone from ivf can help reduce sickness. My main symptom is horrendous exhaustion. Do you have that?

@Florencehill best of luck with the result of your ivf. Hope your two weeks speed by. So sorry to hear you suffered a miscarriage. It’s so horrible.

@DawnK77 congrats! Sorry to hear about the nausea and heartburn. Not experienced heartburn before but it sounds painful. Sounds a good idea getting a private scan in-I’m not sure I can wait till 10 weeks. I can’t keep getting them every week though, although I am considering another at 9 weeks next Sunday.

@Girlinajumpsuit congrats to you too! Glad your viability went well. Interesting what you say about the progesterone possibly affecting nausea, how interesting. My mum got so sick everyday, so I always presumed I would, but not so far and 8w today. Well done holding out till 12 week scan. I need to start managing my anxiety better and waiting. I think because I had a big bleed and am still getting spotting I’m very paranoid.

Hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend. I usually don’t enjoy Mondays but keep thinking that the sooner we start the weeks the sooner they will go by. Can’t wait to reach the 12 week mark!

Hello everyone, I has great news this weekend - my test was positive! I am due July 2020 if all goes well. My first scan is booked for Dec 4th. I hope I can make it this time as I misscarried just before my first scan at new years eve. Good luck to you all.
