Hello there ladies.. Is this a normal way to feel?

Anyone else felt a huge lack of motivation and get-up-and-go at this point - or any point in their pregnancy?

I still work full time, out the door at 7.15am and back again at 6.30pm so it's quite a long day. I just feel exhausted by Thursday, and just can't seem to find the motivation to get things done, this seems to impact me more at work.

Has anyone been through, or is going through the same thing?

It could be that the baby is sapping me of more energy now, and making me tired, hence unmotivated.

I am eating a good diet, and am otherwise in good health.

Any tips or stories shared will be muchly, muchly appreciated :-)

Cheers xxx

I have felt very similiar. I am also working full time, fairly long hours and stressful job. I feel utterly exhausted by Thursday and then limp through Friday.

I think that I took it far more easily those first few weeks when I had nausea and just let myself rest. Now that has passed I seem to be doing too much and my body just says stop. That said, I have been finding it really hard to get to sleep at night even though exhausted - so annoying.

Good luck with it - Saturday morning sleep ins are great if you can manage them

I think you're both right, and I need to slow down again. I was so happy it was Friday today as Saturday morning = lovely lie-in, and do I need it this week.

Don't be hard on yourself. You are having a baby and thats your number one priority at the moment. Im 35wks and was sooooo unmotivated at work i just couldnt stand being at work and was really irritated by everyone and everything. The only way i got through it was to count down to mat leave. Enjoy your 'me' times at the weekend.

No motivation whatsoever. I'm an upper school teacher, and my marking pile is getting bigger and bigger. Thank god I have half term coming up, not to rest but to catch up!!
