Lovely topic for a Saturday morning! I’m 19+2 and suffering from ‘mild’ piles.

I had a small one a week or two ago but it went away fairly quickly. This one is a little bigger and needs to be popped back in periodically and is a bit uncomfortable.

Is there anything I can do in pregnancy go relieve them and make them clear off quicker? Can you use anusol etc? I’m taking lactulose to support the constipation problem, although I’ve been really careful not to force and strain things!

I can call MW Monday but just didn’t have chance yesterday!

Thanks!

Hi,

I’m currently 34 weeks and have had piles since week 18. I was prescribed anusol by my doctor but only used it once. I haven’t struggled at all during pregnancy with constipation. For me I just think it’s pressure. I get weeks where my piles aren’t that bad and then have a day where I feel loads of pressure and I just know I’m getting a new present on the way. The only thing I find as helped is not going to the toilet until I’m literally about to shit myself #no pushing needed what so ever.

Ps. If you go to your gp you will get the finger. That’s why I haven't been back since 😂.

Good luck. Xxx

Yes anusol will help. And you will probally get them throughout as PP has said
with all the pressure down there x
