Has anyone been told the gender as early as 14 to 15 weeks and have it be correct?

You can find out the sex of your baby at 20 weeks at the anomaly scan. Or pay for a private scan to tell you the sex earlier if you wish. Dd was clearly a girl from 14 weeks.

There’s over 70 genders btw, only 2 sexes.

We found out at 16 weeks through private scan x

I had a scan (NHS) at 15 weeks and the sonographer said he couldn't be sure but 60-70% boy... Saying that I think the equipment private companies use it better so you get a clearer image.
Haven't had 20 week scan yet so don't know what they'll say.

I am having private scan sunday and will only be 15 weeks 5 days but the company am using tell u gender from 15 weeks

Boymummy3 · 01/11/2019 17:06

Yep I found out by private gender scan at 14 weeks... waited to get it confirmed though at my 20 wk scan just to be PM the safe side but was clear he was a boy x

Yes, at 12 weeks but this was at a private clinic abroad. Told it was not definite, but was confirmed at the 20 week scan. NHS said they would never say before 20 weeks as sex organs are still developing.

Bol87 · 01/11/2019 22:09

The local scan centres around me offer gender scans from 16 weeks. One is 18 weeks. I think they can just be more definitive by that point. I got my 16 week gender double checked at my 20 week scan this week. Still the same! Smile

I had mine at 16+1 and after some shuffling around I was told girl - confirmed at 20 week NHS scan. I used Window to the Womb as they offer a free rescan if they're unsure (others may also do this) so there's less pressure on them to say the sex if they're unsure as they'll just have you back in.

just wait until the 20 week anomaly scan, they'll ask if you want to know the sex...

I've had a fairly crappy time through this pregnancy. We decided we wanted something nice for just the 2 of us and found out at a private scan at 18 weeks. Got some lovely pictures of our wee boy. Just over 3 weeks until we should be meeting him.

VapeVamp12 · 04/11/2019 10:16

@MustardScreams

70 genders?

Floofffs · 04/11/2019 10:21

There's a test now called sneak peak which you can do I think from 6/8 weeks to find out the gender

You fill a vial with blood from a finger prick and send it off and they can determine the gender from the DNA in the mothers blood

Used it once and it was correct

@VapeVamp12 - she's trying to make the point that it is a SEXING scan not a gender scan, because gender is social construct. All they will be able to tell you is if your baby is female or male.
