What are you doing on maternity leave before baby arrives?

Hello! Almost 39 weeks pregnant and on maternity leave, feeling bored out of my mind! I've done a couple of coffee meet ups with friends and have watched loads of crappy films, but now my most joyful experience is cleaning the house (deliberately slowly so I have things to do!). Normal jobs like batch cooking are done(ish). Does anyone have any must dos I've forgotten about?

Here are a few ideas from what I did during my few weeks of maternity leave before baby arrived:
Going on walks when the weather was nice (if you feel able to), swimming most days as the feeling of weightlessness in the water was bliss, daytime naps, I got my car professionally cleaned (I don’t know why but my weird nesting brain decided I needed to have a super clean car for the baby!). I also went and had my toenails painted at my local salon and cooked myself nice things for my lunch each day. I’m glad I did the last one as the first few weeks with my baby lunch was whatever I could find to cram in my mouth one handed as she just wanted to feed and be held!
Enjoy it and get some rest, and good luck for your new arrival x

I'm due on Tuesday. I'm currently spending maternity leave trying to keep a very bored 2 year old occupied 😬

I had 3 weeks of mat leave before I went into labour. It was bliss. The weather was gorgeous. Did some baking, got my hair done, got threaded, painted my nails, met friends and family for lunch/dinner/coffee, went on dates with DH for dinner/lunch/cinema, went shopping (partly for stuff for labour/birth/postnatal period/baby as a bunch of things I hadn't had time to sort whilst I was still at work), washed secondhand baby clothes, kept on top of all the chores at home, cooking nice things, lots of sleeping, reading, watching Netflix and telly...ahhh. great three weeks.

I feel you OP! I'm also bored rigid on week 1 of maternity leave, also 39 weeks! As DP is still at work, I've spent most of my time with my mum out and about! I couldn't nest anymore if I tried and I've lost all interest in the TV. I spend a lot of time in the bath and cannot concentrate enough to read. I'm hoping little one makes an arrival ASAP if not only to cure the boredom! Grin good luck to you! X

Lots of good ideas here, had a glorious daytime nap yesterday with the cat so might do some more of that! Also loving the ideas of long baths and baking! Might pop into town today and stock up on some books, I think relying on kindle suggestions is not as inspiring as a browse in a bookshop (but baby is feeling really low and Braxton Hicks are picking up so who knows how long I'll have!)
