Nipple on right breast suddenly become inverted!

Hi all,

I really didn't know where to turn as I can't find any information on this happening to woman during pregnancy.

Just a little bit about me:
Im 25yo fit and healthy. 30 weeks pregnant with my first child with no known complications.

So, about 3 weeks ago my right nipple started becoming inverted. This has never happened in my entire life. It was my "Good boob" if that makes sense. I understand pregnancy changes your breasts, and throughout my pregnancy I had felt the swollen-ness and tenderness and pain in BOTH breasts as they grew. But only recently has this one been causing more and more problems, when it tries to become erect it is very painful. There are noticeable painful lumps on my areola closer to the nipple especially when it is "erect". The pain in the entire breast especially around the areola is becoming worse and worse. Im currently staying in Hungary with my Husband and travel back and forth to UK. I was very concerned that something was wrong so went and paid for an Ultrasound breast scan in Hungary. They didn't speak English so I Could not express my concerns or problems just have them perform the scan. According to the paper I received after, they found multiple 10mm cysts in both breasts. Which I believe is quite common and considered benign. However after my pregnancy they wish to do further exams and monitoring. I put it down to maybe the milk duct being blocked however I am not breastfeeding as of yet.

So my question is, has any other mom experienced this before, a random nipple suddenly becoming inverted during pregnancy that causes pain? People I have asked here don't know what i'm talking about and say its just my pregnancy and that your boobs will hurt. But its just the one. Even my husband looked at it the other day and could see the massive difference in the the two and how my right breast is far more swollen.

I haven't experienced this but think you need to seek medical advice. Where do you reside? Are you a UK resident i.e. entitled to care via the NHS?

Personally I would want to get this checked out properly asap. If you're under care in the UK then come back and see a GP here. If your care is in Hungary seek a GP that speaks English and express your concerns. If there is no such GP which speaks English, try and get a translator to go with you. I wouldn't leave this.
