Is this definitely a boy?

Hi all had 16 weeks gender scan yesterday and after a lot of time and moving she said think that's a boy but now looking at picture although looks like boy bits the colour is different than rest of baby. Does it look like boy bits or maybe something else getting in the road like the cord

Looks boy like to me. That's vote in a girl shows an obvious three lines. Looks like my boys scans and not my girls. Congrats

Looks barely like a baby at this stage. Suggest you wait for the NHS anomaly scan at 20 weeks

Deffo boy bits. We too had a scan at that point and can see the bits between his legs.

I'm surprised window to the womb let you book at 16-they told me it was better to wait til 17+ as it's a lot clearer. Usually if they aren't sure, they'll let you come back for free? Might be worth asking if there's a reason you don't want to wait until your anomaly scan?

Gosh that's difficult to see. I would second waiting for another scan.

Here is my girls at 16 weeks and two days, the lines were really clear!

Had two boys and a girl so far. I can see that’s a boy, it doesn’t look like the cord to me but as boys parts. Thou that said, the 20 weeks might confirm it. What did the tech said at the scan? Surely they could see much better.

Definitely a boy. I had a gender scan at 14 weeks and that's what ours was like you could clearly see boy bits... of course I then waited till our 20 week scan to get it confirmed but there was no denying it really lol. Congratulations x

Thanks everyone just wasn't sure as it was very rushed felt like they just want you in and out as soon as possible. Number 4 and first private scan was a bit disappointed that it was so rushed. I know looking it's like 100% a boy suppose I was just holding out a bit of hope since iv already 3 of them lol

Girls look like 3 distinct lines, this absolutely looks like a boy to me.

That's a boy. I could tell my baby was a girl from the three lines you see that's deffinatly a little boy. If you booked a private scan and it was rushed a d they weren't sure ring and get another one as you paid for it. It shouldn't be rushed and they should be able to tell you certainly.

Probably a boy but if you felt rushed complain, you paid for it. After all the NHS scan is an medical examination and they aren't obliged to tell you or go to the effort to confirm if it's not obvious from the baby's position.

Private scans are usually rather quick unless you pay for an extra long one they are usually really busy so literally have you in and out as soon as they see what your there for.. so gender scans as soon as they see the potty shot that's it they dont need to scan for longer. Think my gender scan was around 5 minutes if that x

Iv got 3 boys already and this pregnancy is so different and from get go was convinced it was a girl I knew with my boys they were definitely boys from the start so think im just shocked this is another wee boy still haven't got my head round it
