Anyone 7+ weeks and NOT experiencing morning sickness/nausea?

I have been reading the threads on this forum a lot over the last few weeks since I found out I am pregnant (almost 7 weeks) and have been waiting for the dreaded morning sickness to kick in but as yet I have only had mild, short bouts of nausea off and on (today have felt fine, for example, but yesterday had a few short moments of feeling a bit nauseous). Wondering if others are similar, since apparently 1 in 4 women don't experience MS/nausea as a symptom!

Hey ! I personally have had absolutely terrible nausea from week 5 or 6. But I know of people who never got it! Or got it only slightly. I know at least 3 people who never felt nauseous. How lucky they are. I hope you don't get it, it really sucks,

Jesskir89 · 29/10/2019 18:52

I'm almost 20 weeks and didn't have it much either sign of a boy!!!

MildDrPepperAddiction · 29/10/2019 18:53

20 weeks and absolutely no nausea. Just epic tiredness! Congratulations 😊

Mintypea5 · 29/10/2019 18:53

I've never had morning sickness with any of my pregnancies. The only nauseous feeling I get is when I see or smell chicken when I'm pregnant 😅

Have two boys and 38 weeks pregnant with baby 3 currently

I never had morning sickness or nausea with either of my pregnancies. It doesn't mean anything in terms of the baby's health, one way or another. Hopefully, you won't get it, either!

whoswhowhatwhy · 29/10/2019 18:56

I have two kids now age 4 and 2 and had no morning sickness at all with either. You might be lucky! Xx

HopefulHun · 29/10/2019 18:59

I'm 9+4 and the same as you.

I have mild nausea every now and then and tbh most the time I feel fine. I worried a little that this wasn't normal and things weren't okay but had an early scan yesterday and all perfect! So enjoy it 😁

PopcornAndWine · 29/10/2019 19:05

No nausea with mine at all. Ended up going for an early scan at 8 weeks for reassurance as I just didn't feel pregnant. All was fine.

hjbows88 · 29/10/2019 19:06

It is good to hear others have also managed to avoid it! The various pregnancy pages and apps vary in terms of the info they give but a few have said week 8 is usually the worst week/the week you are most likely to get nausea and/or MS so perhaps mine is yet to come. Or maybe I will be lucky like some of you! Interesting that a few of you had boys and no MS - wonder if anyone else had this? Mind you, a friend is currently 21 weeks and had sickness weeks 5-19 and she is having a boy haha!

Op it's only a myth but 9 times out of 10 seems to work lol the only thing I heaved at was the dog food were just the lucky ones :)

Boymummy3 · 29/10/2019 19:29

I didn't have any symptoms at all with my first, 2nd I had nausea from around 5/6 weeks... + much more symptoms and this one I've has every symptom I can think of haha all boys x

Janefx40 · 29/10/2019 19:31

I didn't have morning sickness and had a girl!! Sorry to mess up the sex/sickness connection. But I could always be the exception that proved the rule....

Janefx40 · 29/10/2019 19:32

Congratulations on your pregnancy and fingers crossed you continue to avoid feeling rubbish!

Kiki275 · 29/10/2019 19:35

I never had morning sickness with DS. Loads of gas & bloating and occasional bouts of something that wasn't quite nausea... just unsettledness if that makes sense. I know a few others who didn't have any either x

LH1987 · 29/10/2019 19:36

I’m the same, 6 + 6 today, no morning sickness just a couple of short bouts of nausea every now and again. I had a scan 4 days ago, all was fine. :)

Colinthedog · 29/10/2019 19:51

I didn’t really have nausea with either of my pregnancies (both boys!) During the first trimester of my second pregnancy I sometimes felt slightly nauseous in the morning before I’d had breakfast, but not always, and it was extremely mild. Possibly just hunger! With my first pregnancy I didn’t feel sick at all. I also didn’t have any cravings or food aversions in either pregnancy, I just felt tired.

hjbows88 · 29/10/2019 20:07

Really interesting reading about your experiences! I had a scan at 6+1 (mixture of feeling anxious/wanting reassurance and because I am going to be travelling extensively within and outside of UK over next month and wanted to check baby was in the right place and there were't any obvious issues at this point). Saw the baby and a heartbeat and also dated at 6+4 (which I don't really understand since my 6+1 was based on my last period being 6 weeks and 1 day ago!)

So feeling reassured for now but very interested hearing about different experiences with symptoms and lack of nausea/MS. My main symptoms have been excess saliva and swallowing (but this has subsided a lot in the last week) occasional short term nausea (literally just waves lasting 30 seconds or so) sore breasts, particularly bad after getting up from laying down, really bad in the morning, and the odd bit of discharge and occasional cramps/pulling feelings and back ache. But some days I feel totally fine (other than boobs) whereas other days I have more of these symptoms. It is so interesting how different pregnancies can be!

Had no symptoms whatsoever last pregnancy and same again this pregnancy except heartburn when far along.
Not a hint of sickness, nausea, nothing!

SparkleUK · 29/10/2019 21:24

I'm 24 weeks tomorrow with a little boy and I didn't have the typical morning sickness either 😊. So strange how some get it and some don't!

On the odd occasion I've been sick if I've had a morning drink too quickly and too early after getting up weirdly, but for me I tended to just feel really tired and with sore boobs that has never gone away. I'd also get really sicky and dizzy feeling in the evenings but have probably only been sick about 10 times. You may be lucky!

brightbird · 29/10/2019 22:09

No nausea / morning sickness at all. Now 22 weeks. Good good!
