I've booked mine privately, and I'll be 16w1d at the time of the appointment.

Has anyone been scanned for the gender reveal this early and actually gotten a result?

I'm fully prepared for the sonographer asking me to come back.

It'll be at babybond x

I had mine at 16+3 and they told me a girl but I'm going to have them confirm at my 20 week scan. I also had cervical length scans in my last pregnancy at 16wks and they said it was a girl and was correct.

Yes I found out my son’s sex at a private 16wk scan. Put it this way it was very obvious and clear that he was a boy!

Doubl · 29/10/2019 14:00

Yep, know plenty of people who have. Have seen some do them from 15 weeks now!

Tini17 · 29/10/2019 14:01

We had ours at 16+3 and were fine although I had to jump about a bit and go for a walk to get baby to shift 🙄
If they are allowing you to book, they should obviously be confident of getting a clear view.
Good luck :)

Ps. it’s a sexing scan, not a gender scan, you can’t tell that from pics.

Oh Thank you! Getting excited now! xx

i had my scan at 16+3 and got told i was having a boy there was still something inside that wasn’t fully sure that it as going to be 100% as it being so early, but i had my 20 week scan on Friday and it was confirmed I’m having a boy i would recommend a 16 weeks scan to anyone now because i could wait until 20 weeks to find out

Muddledfeelings · 29/10/2019 14:07

Yep I found out at 16wks with all three of mine.

blackcat86 · 29/10/2019 14:25

I was 16+5 when I had a private scan to find out we were having a girl. DD is 14 months now!

pinkhairdontcare12 · 29/10/2019 14:43

I had one at 16w and 1 day and was told I was having a boy..then at my 20 week one it was confirmed she was a girl!
Apparently girl bits can be swollen at that age Hmm

Boymummy3 · 29/10/2019 16:28

I had my gender scan at 14 weeks :) was confirmed at my 20wk scan hes very much a boy although couldnt denied it at 14weeks really lol xx

Marshmallow1992 · 29/10/2019 17:17

16+3 and a very clear girl!

Jesskir89 · 29/10/2019 17:26

I had mine at baby bond Manchester and you have to be 18 weeks there but if they've let you book knowing you're 16 weeks then they must be able to

userabcname · 29/10/2019 19:34

I had mine at 16+1 and was told boy - he is indeed a boy and 2 weeks old now!

SparkleUK · 29/10/2019 21:29

I had mine just on 16 weeks and they confirmed he was a boy. NHS 20 week scan, I asked them to double check and he did a quick 'flash' in passing whilst they were checking him so as far as I know, we're on for a boy!

If you need a bit of reassurance for clearness, I just drank a lot of water the whole day, had a cold fizzy drink and cold water to hand before going in and the photos were so clear!
Hope all goes well for you

Bol87 · 29/10/2019 21:33

16 weeks is usually the earliest they’ll scan you but most private scan centres offer gender scanning from 16 weeks so you assume it’s a point they can be fairly confident.

We had one at 16 weeks this time & told it was girl.. 20 week scan tomorrow & I’ll be asking them to double check Grin
