Series of evaporation lines :(

Hello,

Been trying to conceive for 2 years with no success and this month have had a series of what I think are evaporation lines - in each case I've opened the test and been even more confused.

Has anyone opened a Clearblue digital early detection and found two lines?

Blue one is today's Clearblue digital early detection and pink is a FRER from yesterday.

Many thanks

What makes you think they are evaps? They look positive to me - I think evaps are usually grey rather than coloured

Boymummy3 · 29/10/2019 13:06

Evaps are not usually so bold in colour.. although they do say a test becomes invalid once you pull it apart but if these lines shown up within the time frame before you pulled it apart I would say its positive x

Winterdaysarehere · 29/10/2019 13:07

Digital tests have 2 lines inside regardless of result.

Winterdaysarehere · 29/10/2019 13:08

Can you do another test and post a pic unopened?

BellatrixLestat · 29/10/2019 13:11

The FRER looks 100% positive!

Did it look like that within the time frame?

Tini17 · 29/10/2019 13:24

The FRER looks positive OP?
I’ve never taken one apart so can’t say for the ClearBlue.
Do you have another pink dye one?

Joonbug85 · 29/10/2019 15:24

Thanks everyone, sorry I should have clarified - the FRER one appeared just after the 10 minute window (it was faint after 30 seconds and got darker) and the first response one was opened just after it completed.

If FRER was faint after 30 seconds, it is positive OP. Faint line is still a line (mine never got dark pink and I’m 30 wks).

Tentative congrats?x

Boymummy3 · 29/10/2019 16:13

The time frame is 3-5 minutes on most tests so even after 30 seconds of it being faint it means its positive if the line appeared.. if your unsure do another test and check within the time frame x

Spanglebangle · 29/10/2019 19:08

You need to stop taking the tests apart.

Do a test, look at it after 3 minutes, if it is positive then yay, if not throw it away and try again in a couple of days. It's not rocket science.

Monique007 · 29/10/2019 19:56

@Joonbug85 your First Response looks darker than my first did. It’s normal that a faint positive gets a bit darker later because it dries, bug your looks a really good positive.

As others said, I’ll give it a couple of days and retest and hopefully will be darker.

Fingers crossed for you!

CAG12 · 29/10/2019 20:21

Test again in a few days. Please dont take them apart though. It just complicates matters.

Nicecupofcoco · 29/10/2019 20:24

I'd say they are both positive! If they appeared even faintly within the time frame then that's great news! Test again tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you!

Bol87 · 29/10/2019 21:45

Stop opening them up, it makes the results far too unsure!

I would say with FRERS that the faint line you may initially get if pregnant def dries darker. I’ve never bothered with any other brand as they seem the most reliable!

Good luck!

ShowOfHands · 29/10/2019 21:48

As a pp said, digitals have two lines regardless.

MouseClogs · 29/10/2019 22:00

Those look positive to me.

Tip for the thrifty - Answer One Step pregnancy tests are identical to FRER - same factory, same manufacturer, same plastic casing, just a different logo at the "holding" end - but are a fair bit cheaper, from memory.

TreesSandSea · 29/10/2019 22:01

Those tests are positive.

Congratulations Smile

To add.... we were TTC for 7 years. I did hundreds of tests. Never had an Evap line. The tests that looked like yours were positive
