I had a period for 3 days on the 12th September and then again for 4 days on the 25th September - off the pill 3 months. Did the deed on the 12th sep, 19th, 21st sep + 27th sep, 30th sep 3rd oct, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th oct so a bit lol then started feeling funny like sicky and light headed so done a test and BFP on the 17th October - Now because I had 2 periods or I think the 2nd was a period I really am confused to how far gone I am - doctors booked for Thursday but any advise will be much appreciated :) xx

They will date you from your last period so because that was 25th Sept they will date you from there so around 5weeks.
When you go for your dating scan at 12 weeks then you will know for sure... only other option is to pay for a private scan they usually do them from around 8 weeks. It's a pain really esp when we are unsure but it's just the way they do it. Technically from my lmp I was classed as 14 weeks at my dating scan(12wk) I knew I wasnt that far along as I had tested previously with a negative result safe to say I was correct because I was only 9 weeks. Thank you Boymummy3 - I wasn't too sure as if I go off the 25th it said I conceived on the 9th and I tested on the 17th so didn't realise it showed positive so soon 8 days after - thank you I will update as soon as I know for sure

I'm not sure how soon after it would show up tbh it's a pain in the backside when you become pregnant and not 100% sure on dates isnt it. I would highly recommend maybe an early private scan though if you go from the 25th and your around 5 weeks now that's only 3/4 weeks you would have to wait really and could have a surprise and be alot further on. Xx

@Boymumm3 I think I might wait like you suggested and see what the outcome is as long as everything is all ok i'm not really too fussed, more excited for the countdown to the 12 week scan so an extra week or two doesn't really matter I suppose just would really like to announce it by xmas to family xx
