Hello, I know the weekly pay of SMP but I read you do also get taxed.

Could someone who is currently on it confirm what their take home pay is please?

Thanks Thanks

I get 589.81 4 weekly, I pay no tax just £4.91 toward pension x

Surely whether you get taxed depends on your other earnings that year?

Turt · 28/10/2019 06:27

@BikeRunSki well that's what I'm trying to understand as it's not very clear

Sorry Turt, I was too subtle. SMP is taxable, but how much by depends in your other income that tax year.

Turt · 28/10/2019 07:37

@BikeRunSki I will only be at work for one month in 2020 before I go onto maternity leave so hopefully it won't be too much!
