hi all,

is throwing up at nearly 35 weeks a cause for concern? sickness went completely at around 15 weeks and have felt pretty good since then. for some reason today I have felt nausea most of the day then have just thrown up so much I have nothing left in my stomach. not sure whether it's something to get checked as its come on so randomly and suddenly or to just keep an eye on it Confused thanks all x

You’ve probably got a bug? Seems more likely than something pregnancy related

for the first time ever I actually hope so haha! was just a bit concerned as I have been fine for months so was a bit of a nasty shock having sickness again :( will probs keep an eye on it and baby movements in that case x

I threw up loads in my last trimester with both my pregnancies. Combination of baby and awful heartburn

Hey I am 35 weeks 1 day and for the past few weeks my sickness has come back aswel I am sick most days or feel sick every day so I feel your pain it's horrible xx

Hopex3 · 27/10/2019 19:19

yeah it's gotten worse as the day has gone on, not able to keep anything down. I'm also a little concerned about the movement doesnt seem to be as active not sure if they're related or not. concerned about hydration tbh not sure at what point to ring up :( x

updating incase anyone comes across this when googling in future - do always get checked out if it's to the point you cant keep fluids down. I went in at about 8, had ketones and protein in my urine, and had to be put on a drip as I was severely dehydrated. I am still here now being given anti sickness medicine. not pleasant but much better than trying to manage at home when I really couldnt :(

Oh you poor thing. Hope you start feeling better soon.

With my first pregnancy I was sick regularly from 14-35 weeks. Hit its peak around 16-25 weeks. My other pregnancies were completely different though.

I'm around 33 weeks and still throwing up frequently. My doctor/consultant/midwife are not worried about it (though very sympathetic!) because it's nothing new for this pregnancy - it's been ongoing since 5 weeks though it eased off considerably between around weeks 20-25. However, they did mention that if it was a sudden development at this stage, they'd be testing me, for dehydration and pre-eclampsia in particular as well as ensuring it wasn't a sign of early labour. Luckily nothing wrong with me but unfortunately still vomiting! Some days not at all but some days two, three, even four times. I hope you feel better soon and the drip does the job!

The sickness is not massively uncommon I'm 33 and mine has come back but midwife says it's normal.
The reduced fetal movements is an issue were all warned to watch out for. Call your maternity triage and get it double checked.
Dont worry about being wrong I've gone in before with it when everything was fine and they were lovely and reassuring. My midwife says they would rather see you 10 times and have nothing wrong then risk missing something

Sorry ignore my post I posted before I finished reading. Sorry your feeling so rubbish hope you get better soon

Intheupsidedown · 29/10/2019 07:04

I started feeling sick and threw up as well.

Ended up on omezrapole for heartburn as nothing else helped. If I dont take it by the time I go to bed at night I am waking up with sick/bile in my mouth. Its horrible.

36 weeks now and it's still going on.

Always get checked but no medical staff I spoke to were surprised by it.... I was of course as I didn't have it this bad with my first!
