Bleeding 1st trimester

I am 11 weeks pregnant tomorrow and yesterday I bled from the vagina (bright red blood) after a difficult bowel movement. Since then I have had light brown spotting when wiping after urinating. I have no pain/cramps. Is it likely to be a miscarriage? I rang the pregnancy team but they said to wait till my scan which is in 1.5 weeks. It is really worrying me. I have previously been treated for cervical ectropy (sensitive cells in the cervix).

You poor thing that is so stressful. I am not as far on as you but had a bleed yesterday too.

I think mine might have been caused by lifting/bending and generally over doing it, so I can see that straining could definitely cause something similar.

Cross fingers if no cramps, everything will be ok.

I had bright red blood at 12 weeks. They also said the same to me to wait but I couldn't. It happened on a Friday and I had my NHS scan on a Tuesday. I paid for a private scan the Friday night. Thankfully everything was fine and the sonographer did say that bleeds can often just happen without an explanation. If you can pay for private i would definitely do that to put your mind at ease.
All the best x

I had a bleed in the first trimester with one of mine. I thought I had lost him. He is 16 now so it doesn't always mean the worst.
