You'd think i'd know what i was doing by the time i got to trying for #3... Can anyone help me work out what's going on or share some similar stories (positive or negative)? Due to bleeding we have just had an inconclusive scan (have another one on 4th Nov but trying not to lose my mind before then...) Tia.

My cycles have been variable in recent months, between 33-40 days long.

29th Aug - first day of last period

29th Sept - negative pregnancy test & unprotected sex

1-2nd Oct - light spotting

4-5th Oct - nausea (nothing since)

6th Oct - positive test ('1-2wks' result on digital)

18th-23rd - heavy bleeding, now stopping, no cramping

22nd Oct - positive test ('2-3wks' result on digital & dark early response)

24th Oct - scan measuring 5+1week (sac & tiny yolk, bleeding area in uterus but not close to egg)

Follow up scan 4th Nov. I'm not feeling very hopeful. 😔 From LMP i should be 7-8 weeks, but with irregular cycles... 🤷‍♀️

Wow I'm not surprised your confused but I missed 3 periods when I found out I was pregnant from my lmp I was technically 14 weeks... I knew I wasnt as I had tested after the first missed period and had a negative test... so if you want to go from your CB (which ain't always reliable) 22nd Oct said 2-3 weeks which would indeed put you at 4-5 weeks ish so with your scan measurements that's about rite. We dont ovulate every month so sometimes even if we miss just 2 periods you may only get caught on 2nd missed period. Happened to me with this one and my last pregnancy also. Try not to worry xx

Forgot to say when they thought I was 14 weeks from lmp and sent me for my '12 week scan' I was only 9 weeks xx

Thank for your reply. That's reassuring to hear, though i'll bet it wasn't reassuring when they told you the differenfe in your dates!! Hoping the bleeding doesn't mean too much, but it's all a bit confusing.
