Hi,

I'm new here and I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby Smile. Since 4am this morning I've been suffering cramps, very similar to menstrual cramps. No spotting or bleeding though. It doesn't feel like it's going away. I really hope this is normal?

Thanks x

I had cramps around that time, particularly at night. Mentioned it to midwife and she said it's just everything stretching and the baby burrowing in. Mine felt like period pain, I had to take a couple of paracetamol at times. She said not to worry unless there's bleeding

Cramps/pains are normal esp during early pregnancy aslong as you dont have any bleeding with it.
If it helps but of course everyone is different when I was early pregnant with my 2nd before I found out I had the worst period pain/cramps I was expecting a really bad period to come on. For some reason instead I tests and of course was positive. Xx

Oh thank goodness it's normal! I've taken paracetamol as it's very much like menstrual cramps. Thankfully no bleeding, it doesn't stop me going to check every 20 minutes or so though! x

Cramping and pains are very common, and perfectly normal - uterus growing, embryo burrowing into the lining of the uterus etc ... try not to worry

Hi OP! I am 8 weeks with my first and also suffering from cramps. I had an early scan yesterday and told her, she said it is just as other pp said, everything stretching. Try not to worry x
