I'm am 5+4 and have had a lot of trapped gas recently which I understand is normal at this stage, however I seem to have the gas pains in my shoulder and neck! Has anyone else had this? Have you got any ideas on how to get rid of it?

I'm pretty sure I'm not having an ectopic pregnancy as I went to A&E yesterday with the pains and they took bloods, examined me and they said I was fine and it's just pregnancy related pains and aches! I do have an early scan booked for next Wednesday Smile

Oh yes! Poor you, I found it really quite uncomfortable and nothing seems to get rid of it. Best thing for me was a lye down to relief some of the pain. Irritatingly, I get it even when I'm not pregnant. It has always been in my right shoulder and side of neck.

Forgot to add.....mine is usually related to diet. I find that if I eat too many crackers/ryvita type products I start to get the pains, it can last a day or two. I avoid them now which has reduced the number of episodes but I still get them now and again. Just throwing a thought out there....I wonder whether you might be more sensitive to some foods now you are pregnant.

Hot water bottle and increased salt intake helped me.
