Would I know if I'd had a miscarriage?

I am 14 weeks pregnant and highly anxious. I had a 12 week scan and everything was okay. But I'm still nervous. I've not had any obvious symptoms - I still have morning sickness, but a friend of mine had a missed miscarriage (lost baby at six weeks, found out at 10 weeks) and her symptoms had continued.

I've booked a private scan for tomorrow just for reassurance and I also have my midwife appointment beforehand and I'm just so scared they're going to tell me the baby has died.

What are my chances of a missed miscarriage now, or would I have symptoms?

Very unlikely. The vast majority of miscarriages are before 12 weeks and most are closer to 6 than 12.

Hiya, sorry you are feeling worried. I remember trying to find an answer to this question and struggling, in terms of any real evidence. Everyone just says very unlikely. I have read a stat that says you have a 99% chance of NOT miscarryinng at this stage. That said, you can find examples of people where this has happened, so we can't say it's impossible. I just tried to remind myself of how likely it was for everything to be fine and also to remember there was probably nothing I could do about it anyway. I also tried to stay off Google! Im now 21 weeks and feeling kicks which is very reassuring. Hopefully you'll feel reassured as well by kicks in a few weeks. Hope you can feel a bit less worried about it
