So I have my sickness meeting today! With manager and HR , due to SPD, signed off till end of month and have been off 10 weeks already , under physio and do it happy to sign off till mat leave starts (5 weeks time) however as I've posted before my manager is very unsympathetic and has made it clear to me I am attending meeting to see how they can
Get me back to work for last few weeks! And how they can assist me!! I know they can't make me etc and sick note will out for a nasty manager however I feel like me saying "I can't walk" isn't good enough!
I work in a and e as a nurse btw, working 12 hour shifts they have already offered me 8 hour shifts however I can't and wouldn't even manage a hour shift!!!
Any advice feel like I don't know what to say 😭😭

Oh hun. I really feel for you. If you’ve been signed off they can’t make you go back! Can you start early maternity leave? If that’s something you’d want to do!

You’re sick and that should be the end of it. Stand your ground and stand up to this unsympathetic boss of yours (who sounds like a right tool)!

I hope you feel better soon!

@MarieMarie2019 thanks
For your reply! I will start mat leave at 36 weeks which is policy of your off sick (I was going to start at 36 weeks anyway) I sort of think stuff you! As I know they can't make me go back it's just how she speaks etc the man from HR is apparently very nice , it's just very annoying as I asked for help from occy health 10 weeks ago to help me stay in work and they didn't want to know!! Do I feel like really when I have a few weeks left? And doctors said it won't improve till baby here x

@Loti92 thanks for your reply! Yes I was thinking maybe suggesting a non clinical role however! I just feel like the hours expected of me I just couldn't do and feel like if I suggest working 1/2 hours a day they will laugh! But I only am able to cope at the minute at home with huge support as if I walk too far or too fast I have the most intense pins like labour down below x
