Low cervix, scared to get pregnant again

Hi ladies,

my partner and I are thinking about getting pregnant with our second child but I’m really nervous as my cervix is quite low. Ever since I had my boy 2 1/2 years ago, it’s never been up as far as it used to be. I had forceps and was diagnosed with mild prolapse after my first.
Sometimes it’s even just 1 1/2 inches from the entrance whereas other times it’s 2 1/2 to 3 inches, but never higher than that and even that high is very rare.

Has anybody else experienced this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy with no worsening of issues downstairs?

I’m terrified to get pregnant but want a second child really badly.

Would I be best opting for a c section too?

Any advice/shared experiences would be really welcomed.

Thank you

No advice sadly but I would definitely book an appointment with your GP to discuss

Same as PP I've no advice/experience with a low cervix but the only person that could really give you the best advice is your GP. X

Thank you ladies.
I’ve been to see the gp and she was just very blasé about it and said to not worry and ‘crack on!’ I don’t think she has much experience with prolapses.
I just don’t want things to get really bad down there.
I guess I would need to just try doing loads of kegels before and throughout pregnancy!
