Different symptoms in 2nd pregnancy

So I'm 7+1 with baby number 2 and this pregnancy seems much better so far. With my 1st baby I had quite a bit of bleeding, awful sickness from 6 weeks and a really strong sense of smell. So far I have quite sore breast and feeling incredibly tired but only felt sick once or twice. I'm trying not to worry and see all this as a bad sign! Did anyone else have a much better pregnancy 2nd time round and experience different symptoms? X

There’s still time - I thought I was ok and then around 8 weeks the sickness hit even worse than the first! I hope it doesn’t for you - but be prepared! X

My second pregnancy has been completely different to my first, so don’t worry too much (often easier said than done) about having different symptoms! At least you’re having it the good way round, where it’s better this time Smile

Bol87 · 21/10/2019 19:09

Mine has been way worse, so enjoy these better days Smile

Interestingly, I’ve had identical food aversions and tolerable foods as last time & the sickness, while much worse, started at bang on 6 weeks like last time and has reached bearable levels again at a very similar time. I’m also a very similar size bump wise.

But I seem uncommon, most of my friends say there pregnancies have all been different each time!

My second pregnancy was completely different to my first. I had unbearable headaches throughout my first, with my second I had nausea pretty much all the way through. Both times had big healthy boys.

My sister had sickness for her first 2 pregnancies, for her third she had no sickness at all but just a healthy baby boy. Her first 2 were boys aswell.

1st pregnancy no symptoms till later on then I got HB towards the end.
2nd pregnancy from day one suffered with dehydration/kidney infection, sickness, fatigue, headaches
Current Pregnancy - Same as 2nd but 10x worse lol currently 26+1 and literally dont know how I'm going to cope for the last 14 weeks feeling as awfull as this.

Each pregnancy is different xx

Hi everyone congrats on Pregnancy I am 5 wk 1 D after my first pregnany in June followed by a MMC :( it was my first -
To say I am worried is an understatement- but my symptoms are completely different
I am tired- slight nausea here and there
no beat pain
stomach acid issues
bowel issues
and that is pretty much it..
I see my midwife Friday for Bloodwork I am hoping and praying this is our rainbow baby

PrincessSarene · 23/10/2019 11:18

Good luck @EPSpartyof3! I also had a MMC with my first pregnancy. Then just a few months later got pregnant with DD1 (now 4yo) and am currently 34 weeks with DD2. Each time I’ve had very different symptoms at different points. Please try not to worry too much (I know that’s often easier said than done!) and do talk to the midwife about your worries. Good luck!

EPSpartyof3 · 23/10/2019 15:28

@princessSarene
AW thank you I appreciate that- its nice to talk to people who have been thru it had a MC and now understand the worry and comparison all the time! Hearing your story is amazing - Im trying to meditate and BE PRESENT not be stuck in the past and not worry about the fear of the future - its helped me a lot so far :) I get bloodwork Friday and hope and pray all is good!

Imtootired · 23/10/2019 15:30

Yes very different symptoms for me. First had vomiting all the way through and this time none just very achy and tired

PrincessSarene · 23/10/2019 17:31

I think it’s really hard being pregnant when you’ve suffered a loss before. Each time I’ve found that I’m slightly on edge until I can feel baby move. Sounds like you’re doing the right things in trying to not to dwell on the past or worry about the future. Hope everything goes well on Friday.

Hello! I’m 9 weeks or so after a miscarriage at 6 weeks directly before this one. I have one child already and with her I had no symptoms apart from being a bit tired. This time I’m exhausted, a bit breathless (like my organs are already being squeezed), nauseous, headaches etc. It’s crap! I’m hoping I’ll get into the next bit and feel much better!

EPSpartyof3 · 24/10/2019 13:49

@PrincessSarene thank you 🙏🏻 🌈❤️😍 I just everything is ok - it’s harder than I ever thought honestly I thought it would be hard getting pregnant ... clearly
Not the case lol 😂
This Time around I definitely feel different I think everything is different like my symptoms my mindset and I have no idea if that’s gonna help or not but I know that in my current state of mind and definitely helps me with less worry more like just living in the moment
@fringeandtrainers Congrats on your second pregnancy we’ve all been there my first pregnancy was back in June and I had a miscarriage in July at eight weeks it was a missed miscarriage and now I’m pregnant again and I have the same fears and worries and my symptoms are completely different

PrincessSarene · 26/10/2019 14:22

How did it go yesterday OP? Did you just have the bloods taken or were you also getting some results? Hope you’re feeling ok.
