I'm 15 weeks pregnant and we're wondering if we're having a boy or girl. Anyone like to hazard a guess. 12 week scan and facial scan from today. Thanks

Catconfusion · 19/10/2019 17:28

Thank you @Cotswoldmama what made you think boy out of interest? X

I've got two boys and I always think boy scans have more defined noses whereas girls noses look flatter! X x

Catconfusion · 19/10/2019 18:10

Thanks @Cotswoldmama that's fascinating. I love the skull theory stuff. We're just that little bit too early to find out. I might cave and get a scan to find out the sex before 20 weeks. I'll let you know what it turns out to be. X

Foreheads on boys seem to be rounded too! I found out the sex with both my boys I was too excited to wait! And my eldest was desperate for a baby brother so I thought it best to find out I case we needed to do persuading about how great girls can be!

Taylen69 · 20/10/2019 10:57

Would say boy

manicmij · 20/10/2019 11:10

It's a baby! Wow.

Catconfusion · 20/10/2019 12:42

Thank you everyone. Seems mostly girls with some boys. I've read the skull theory stuff and my baby seems a little ambiguous. I'm thinking maybe girl not that we mind either way it's just nice to form a picture. Xx

@manicmij I know I said for fun but after a devastating loss at 12 weeks earlier in the year I'm trying to find ways to bond with my baby before I can feel movement. I feel gaining a sense of the sex will help with that while I wait for my 20 week scan. Also the skull theory stuff is fascinating. No need for sarcasm.

Not sarcasm, just can't understand why folk place so much need on knowing sex of baby. Priority for me is that baby is fine and arrives safely. Do wish you and baby regardless of sex, well.

HJWT · 20/10/2019 13:29

@manicmij thats what everyone's priority is, what is wrong with people. Its mumsnet the whole point of this forum is people being able to talk and do things like this for fun. Bad day?

Cornflakesncake · 20/10/2019 13:34

Girl Flowers

Cornflakesncake · 20/10/2019 13:35

@manicmij op said it was just for fun and isn't placing so much need in knowing. Calm down and stay away from these kind of threads if other peoples excitement bothers you so much...Hmm

Catconfusion · 20/10/2019 13:52

@manicmij I think I explained why it's a nice thing for me personally to consider.

Hey everyone, just to let you know we’re having a boy. The sonographer thought at first based on first looks at head a girl but the between the legs shot obviously showed boy. We’re really excited and pleased all ok! X
