Baby #1 Early scan advice and confusion

Hello this morning we went for our first scan at our NHS hospital.

Date of last period 23rd Aug
Due date 30th May
8 weeks completed, started week 9 today.

Fetal pole 4mm
Heart beat detected
Dated at 5.4 weeks

Does this all sound normal?

Sonographer was like a robot, she uttered there is no heart beat then stopped rushing and we saw the flicker and admitted there it is!

I became overwhelmed and while my husband was comforting me she also mentioned something about what sounded like thyroid was a little low. What do you think I misheard?

Did you get a chance to ask if this was normal?

I am struggling to find any info on what the fetal pole should be when my pregnancy app says my lil bean is the size of a blueberry then get told its 5mm.

She was so cold, didn't have any people skills. I understand they need to ship people in and out like cattle but this was the biggest moment of my life so far!

Was it a fibroid? Regarding the dating, i think that is based on fetal length.
