Hi there OP - Me too. The insomnia the first week after I got pregnant was horrible. Up at 3 am each night and couldnt sleep. I managed a few weeks getting back to normal, then last night I was up at Midnight and couldn't go back to sleep until 3.30 am. I think some of it has to do with hormones, and your body changing. But could it also be anxiety (thinking about baby things, thinking about work)? I know that mine has tended to be a mixture of the two. Hope you can get some sleep soon!

Sorry... that should read first week after I found out I was pregnant.. so from around 4 weeks until 5+2.

Sorry no advice but I'm in the same boat. I'm 6+4 at the mo and can't sleep until later than normal no matter what time I get into bed, I can be lying there awake for hours until I drop off. Then I keep waking up in the middle of the night to pee and then wake at like 4/5am and then I just cannot get back to sleep. I've been trying to get DS to sleep later in the morning as he was getting up at 5.30-6am and now he's sleeping until 7 and I'm lying there awake waiting for him to get up. It's draining isn't it!? Also have morning sickness and severe indigestion. Added both together I've felt awful so haven't been going into work.

@Hawse @Farfromtheusual thanks for replies ladies its not fun Isit I feel bad complaining This baby is so wanted and I'm prepared for the sleepless nights but just laying there wide awake for hours now is so frustrating

Last night I went to bed at half 10 was awake again at 11.45 went into spare room because I toss and turn loads and don't want to disturb hubby. Last time I looked at my clock it was 2.30 then woke again for the day at 5,30 and haven't been back to sleep 💤

Another one in the same boat here! I'm 5+1 and the past 3 mornings I've been up from 5.10am, 4am and 6am. I'm out like a light when my head hits the pillow but seem to wake really early and can't get back to sleep x
