Please help! Can pregnancy be dated wrong?

Hi, wondering if anyone can ease my frustrations and worries please! 🙏🏼
I had an early scan today due to 2 m/c this year (March and July). I worked out I would be 8 weeks today ( LMP (last menstrual period) 22/08/19) Period was very short and only lasted 3days 🤨
I had a normal ultrasound and also a transvaginal. The sonographer estimated that I am between 5-5.5 weeks!? I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) so I’m assuming I have ovulated way later 🤔 But I have no idea..

Anyway, they want me back in 2 weeks (hate waiting) she mentioned about the sac being larger than she likes 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️ 12mm? And the embryo only measuring 2mm with no heartbeat detected.
I’m really worried that in 2 weeks, it won’t have progressed and I’m not sure I can mentally deal with a 3rd mc.
Has anyone had the same issue but went on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I can’t speak to the heath issues, but dating from LMP vs ovulation are never going to be the same. Showing a 5 week foetus makes sense as you would have ovulated a ovulated a couple of weeks after your period

Sorry for all the uncertainty OP. And your losses Unfortunately, there’s not much else that can be done.. if you aren’t sure of your dates (and even if you were), all they can do is a wait & see approach. To see if baby develops or not over the next couple weeks. They can’t make a call right now as they’ve nothing to go on.
