Hi ladies
I'm hoping you will be able to put my mind at ease.
I'm 6 weeks +5 days pregnant & I've just noticed a very small amount of brown blood when I've been to the toilet, yesterday I noticed a small amount of very light brown discharge.
Should I be worried? Is this normal for early pregnancy. I'm not sure whether I should contact my doctors.

Hoping someone will be able to put me at ease.

A small amount is normal but best thing you can do is ring your GP and they will advise.
I went through this on Tuesday morning having only found out on Monday and totally panicked, rocked up at A&E like a crazy woman. Because I wasn't in any pain and it wasnt a massive amount of brown blood they sent me home and told me to ring the early pregnancy unit (where this is depends on where you are, gp would tell you) they told me to keep an eye on it over the next few hours and said if you need to change 2 pads in the space of an hour then things would be looked at from there. I didn't even get close to having to change one then it disappeared all together. Everything seems fine now but I know how scary it can seem at the time, especially as this is a first for me and I wasn't sure what was going on

Hope everything goes ok x

@Yogisunflower91 i had a little brown spotting at 6 weeks and again at 9, now 18 weeks and all is progressing fine. Just keep an eye on it and ovcourse call triage Or go to AandE if it becomes heavy. But try to relax, its much more common than you would think and may still be left over from implantation.
