Cramping before BFP

Hi all,
Sorry for posting here but you may be able to help me.

I am just wondering whether anyone had bad cramps or backache before BFP? I'm on cycle 9 TTC no 2 and I've cramps since 6DPO!!

I had loads of cramps like normal period pains before my BFP so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@sep30 What DPO did you test and get BFP? I'm tempted to test in the morning at 11 DPO!

Before my 2nd the day I tested I actually felt like I was about to have the worst period ever lol dont even know why I tested tbh.. I dont know how many days past ovulation I was as periods are all over the place xx

I waited till the day I was meant to be on!

I had lots of cramps/backaches and all my usual premenstrual symptoms. I even went out to buy pads, as I was overseas and didn't have anything with me. My periods aren't super regular (anywhere between 29 and 35 days), but I waited until day 40 or something to test (partly because it's not unheard of for my cycle to be that long, and also because I wanted to test on a Saturday! Couldn't bear the thought of getting a positive or a negative and then having to go into work!!)

Implantation pains?

Yes - I felt like I was going to come on my period from 4 days before I was due - I even put a pad on each day and kept going to the toilet and checking because it felt exactly like I was going to come on!

I had very mild cramps at around 5 or 6dpo. Honestly wasnt sure if I was imagining things! Then no symptoms until a couple of days before my period was due when I started getting all my normal premenstrual symptoms - backache, cramps, sore boobs, moodiness, spotting... was 100% convinced it was my period. After 2.5 days of spotting and it hadn't turned into a real period I had a BFP!

I literally just got my bfp yesterday. I thought I was out because I had major cramps and bled very lightly but for 7 days. (Oct 1-7) I was feeling sick so I decided for the heck of it to test and boom instant positive pregnancy test. Also confirmed by my clinic. Hoping for a healthy pregnancy!

I found out today I was pregnant, and I had been having cramps that felt like fairly bad period pains (not agony though) all week, and I was expecting myself to suddenly start bleeding all week because of these pains. So it is a symptom yes. Good luck x

Thank so much for all your input. I'm 11 DPO today and no cramps as of yet but boobs getting increasingly sore shooting pains on left one. Fingers crossed AF stays away and my cramps go away. xx

I got a BFP at 12dpo and the day before I had TERRIBLE cramps. I was convinced I was about to have the worst period of my life! I'm now 30 weeks pregnant 🙂 Good luck!

Hey. Did anyone get there BFP after these lower back pain and period cramps? I’m in the same boat now :)

@LMG93 Hey! Just spotted that you posted on here in January.. did you end up getting your BFP?

Hey! Yeah I was pregnant but it turned out to be a chemical. But caught again end of jan and now 9 weeks along :)

@LMG93 Oh I'm so sorry to hear about the chemical. Amazing news now though, congratulations!!
I was just curious as I'm TTC baby number 2 and I've been cranking on and off since Friday when I was 6DPO and I've been having them up until today 10DPO.. they're just like AF cramps but a little milder for me. Backache too. I tested yesterday at 9DPO using a FRER and got a BFN so I don't have a clue what's going on! AF is due Saturday/Sunday x

Cramping... not cranking 👀😂

@Confused678866 it’s so hard to say as everyone is different but yeah I’d say they were good signs! I got my BFP 10dpo but I’m a fast riser lol! Keep testing! :)

@LMG93 Yeah it's pretty unusual for me but I'm trying not to get my hopes up as these cramps are just convincing me that AF is on her way early as that's exactly what they well like.
Just find it odd that cramping started so early. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough either way! I'm going to hold out testing now until AF is due, unless AF arrives in the meantime and then I won't be testing at all! Thank you for replying xx

I’m a prolific tester. But your not out till she shows! Fingers crossed for you! I cramped a lot in my first one but this time round I had nothing until 6po I’m guessing this was implanting in there somewhere. :) x

@LMG93 Haha, I can't hack it. The BFN's kill me!
Yeah that's when I started cramping, 6DPO.. I'm just constantly convinced that I feel like AF is going to show up! Only a few more days to wait though.. working from home with my toddler in tow should keep my mind off it 😂 xx
