Anal Abscess

Hi Ladies....
Possibly a TMI post here....
I've had piles the past 5 days which I was using ointment however as of yesterday an abscess has formed on the outside of butthole and is killing me. It hasn't burst but hot baths aren't helping.
Has anyone else had this? Were u able to take antibiotics?
I really don't want to take anything because I'm 25 weeks, hoping the GP will lance it when I go see her later today.

You will need ABs because anal abscesses can turn really nasty if not treated. There are lots of ABs that are safe for use during pregnancy, so don't worry too much. The risks of not taking them are far worse.

Thank you. Today's the first day that it's properly shown up and its killing me. Is there an ointment I can use while waiting for the ABs to work? X
