Failed stretch and sweep

Hi all. I'm 40+4 today and went in for a stretch and sweep. However the midwife couldn't reach my cervix and said it's still posterior, so couldn't perform the sweep.
:(

I've refused a second sweep and have instead booked in for induction when I'm 40 + 10 (I'm happy with this and willing to be induced.... Just fed up of being pregnant now and impatient to meet my baby as I'm in so much discomfort).

Just wondering if anyone has been in my position yet went into labour naturally after the failed sweep?

Wondering whether I should expect anything to occur within the next 6 days or if it's really unlikely.

Three failed sweeps for me and then went in to labour naturally the morning of my induction. Anything can happen at any time. Hang in there, won't be long.

Hi I think we must be due the same day, my midwife also tried to do a sweep on Monday and couldn’t reach my cervix, I’ve also declined a second sweep and booked for induction next week at 40+11. Feeling like the chances of me going into natural labour are very slim now, I’m just so fed up & want baby out x

Thanks all for your replies. I guess I'll see what happens!

I was feeling fairly positive that I had "a date" to look forward to, then remembered induction could still take ages and now feeling down again. Totally agree with you @Lisalou88 - I just want baby out now. But I haven't really enjoyed pregnancy at all.

Also had two failed sweep and was booked in for 40+10. I then had a sweep done by the consultant rather than midwife and honestly felt like she was aiming to pull me inside out. However went into labour naturally at 40+8 about 5 hours after that sweep.
