Period pain and coccyx pain (29 weeks DC2) tell anyone?

Hi

Woke up at 5am, really bad period pain that went into my coccyx area and bum - felt like I needed a poo (I didn’t). Lasted about 2 hours, it’s the first time since I had DC1 that I wanted to sit on a birthing ball for some relief!

It’s gone now. But I’ve been having this period pain on and off for a week.

Baby is moving. Otherwise I’m fit well and active.

Reckon tell anyone? Ie midfwife.

Thanks

X

Duringpregnancy, the ligaments in your body naturally become softer and stretch to prepare you for labour. This can put a strain on the joints of yourlower backand pelvis, which can causebackpain. I would mention it to your midwife though x

Thanks. Yeah it was more that back pain when you get your period, like you need the toilet, really distinctive rather than the normal aches and pains x

Sounds like your uterus stretching to accommodate baby should go within a day or two xx
