I’m 33 weeks and I can tell it’s getting cramped in there for my little lad so there are arms and legs sticking out quite frequently.

Trouble is, I never know if it’s a hand or a foot that he’s jabbing out of me and I’d really like to learn how to tell the difference! Can anyone help?

I tend to think any movements that feel like him drawing his knees back and stretching out are just that and that the longer the protruding area is then that would be his foot. Am I on the right wage length?

I don’t think he’s head down for the minute but then again I don’t know how to tell if he is or not but I feel like he is transverse as the movements are always horizontal across my body about in line with my belly button

I'm pretty useless at telling where my baby is in terms of positions to be honest. It's always a surprise when I go to maternity appointments! Baby has been all sorts throughout the pregnancy but the last two have been CEPH (which I think is the better one!)

This week I think they have moved from their usual position (the back all on the right hand side) to very middle as it's really tight around my belly button and the kicking has got really intense at times but can't work out if that's transverse or the way it's supposed to be for where I am in the pregnancy.

Got my 34 week midwife appointment later so hoping to find out. I would speak to your midwife for some tips at your next appointment see if she can point you in the right direction!
