How late can sickness start?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant today and feeling quite sick and tired, but I haven't actually been sick yet.

I am managing to make it to work and think I can survive with this current level of nausea. But I wonder: is it likely to get worse? How late can vomiting actually start and do the symptoms always ramp up?

If I am not vomiting by now, could I be in the clear?

I heard something about hormones peaking at week 9 so am focusing on getting through the next two weeks and then hoping I might start to feel more like myself again!

With my first pregnancy, nausea started around week 5 - I think I vomited half a dozen times in the entire pregnancy but just felt constantly nauseous for three months.
Second pregnancy I started feeling nauseous from around 8 weeks but never vomited.
I did feel nauseous (with food aversion) for all of the first trimester and it kind of dwindled off.

So can't specifically answer your question, just take every day as it comes and hope you feel better soon!
You might just feel off / sick / nauseous and not have any vomiting - I think the way "morning sickness" is portrayed in media (pregnant woman heaving in the morning) only applies to some women!

I felt nauseous for the first 12 weeks. Vomiting started in week 9 pretty much everyday until week 12. I'm 14 weeks now and just being sick intermittently at the moment. I'm hoping it will go away soon.

I’ve had similar symptoms up to now and I’m 9.5 weeks. Hope to avoid being sick altogether as the constant “hangover” and waves of nausea are quite enough to cope with!

Thank you all! Yes, good advice to take each day as it comes.

I'm just stressing about work and deadlines and how I'll manage and hoping it doesn't get worse. Looking forward to being able to tell everyone why I am permanently green!

I was only sick weeks 5-8 & then it disappeared as fast as it had started, I wasn't just sick, but had runs as well, would really crave something to eat, eat it & then start with runs & sickness within an hour.

I only felt nauseous from 6-9 weeks then from 9 weeks started being sick until 14 weeks.
