Hi All

Probably overreacting but feeling generally quite achy/ pain in my bump. Having been in an overcrowded house all day, I’ve had an adult leaning on me and on occasion putting weight on my bump (obviously I politely asked them to stop as it was so uncomfortable), but now hours later I have a dull ache/ pain in my bump and back. Any ideas?

Have quite an upset stomach hoo, so I suppose it could be that.

Slightly concerned as travelling for the week with work and being away (only UK) and being so unsure is worrying me....hence being awake when I need to be up in 2.5 hours!

What do you guys think?

I’m sure it’s nothing hun but always worth getting checked

Is it like trapped wind kind of pain just under your ribs? And are you vomiting with the upset stomach? This kind of pain is a symptom of pre-eclampsia - I went into hospital with it and ended up being very unwell and needing an EMCS. I would phone your midwife or MAU just for what you describe. I also experienced things like swollen feet/hands/face, an episode of visual disturbance and protein in my urine which we had put down to me having a cold for 2 weeks, in the run-up to the pain/vomiting. Hopefully it's nothing sinister but better safe than sorry - I phoned MAU 3 times before they told me to come in to be on the safe side and it was a good thing I did. Hope everything settles down for you.

Always worth getting checked out if something unusual (for you) is happening. The upset tummy could be because your womb is niggling, but equally your womb could be sore because you have an upset stomach.

Could be baby's position too. Depending where mine is I get really sore bump sometimes. Achy back allllll the time

If you're worried give your DAU a call before you go away for a check over. I've got a 15 month old so constantly hangs someone climbing on me / putting pressure in my bump

Thanks everyone. It’s eased off a bit now and manages some sleep. Going to give my MW a call before I set off but hopefully it’s just me being a fit over cautious.
