A bit embarrassing but I've struggled badly with constipation for a couple of months on and off. But I am at the point where I'm taking lactulose, tried movicol, but unfortunately all that's happening is bits coming out but when I wipe its smeary on the paper like I'm leaking poo. Sorry Tmi but I'm feeling so uncomfortable and its getting me down. I tried a glycerin suppository 2 nights ago and I did go but now this again..... I dont think my bowels are ever going to be normal again. Ive not done a proper poo in weeks. Please help...

I had awful constipation in pregnancy. I had to drink loads of water and prune juice, and much more lactulose in excess of the recommended dosage. I was buying a bottle a week!

Pears are meant to help. And I found sub-dried tomatoes did sometimes.
