hypremesis - basically long term sickness in preg. i was sick until 20-22wks with ds1. as long as you are getting plenty of fluids and keeping some food down you should be fine. buts its hideuos i know. hang on in there.

Thanks for that- it helps to give it a name, sounds silly.

I had completely kicked the sickness by 12 weeks with DS1 but this time it is just lingering and just when i think it has gone, it jumps up and bits me on the bum.

Taking solice in the fact that people have said perhaps this means the opposite sex (I knwo that that is complete twaddle tho) but like to hope that there is a point.

I hope it ends for you soon, it's horrid

I had it for 22 wks with DD & 18wks this time - both times I still had probably one day a fortnight on average where I was sick & felt crap all day, right up to the end It was always worse when I was overtired, so try getting a bit more rest.

I'm afraid I was 24 weeks with DD before it stopped & I still had the odd day where I felt pretty off-colour till near the end. Hope it goes soon I'd forgotten how crap it was but thankfully mine stopped about 14 weeks & I was never actually sick this time just very nauseous.

Thanks for all your support ladies. Havent been ssick for about 5 days which is an achievement altho still nauseous in bits. Hopefully we are finally seeing the back of it all.

Hiya

21 weeks and still have days where I don't want to eat much because of nausea. Also, horribly travel sick as a passenger. Last week during a romantic weekend away, I had to leg it at breakfast because one of the guests was eating noisily and in a disgusting way (I really don't notice stuff like this normally) Nappy sacks come in handy at times like these....I also try to drink at least 4 pints a day (water)
