Terribly vain thread alert!! What DOES happen to exisitng stretch marks on your 2nd preg??

Sorry but I'm dying to know....

Not because I think they can be prevented or anything but mine are v faded after 7 yrs and now I'm 23w they are looking further apart but still white. Will they go red and angry again when bigger?

they may not - but you may get some in other places as you may carry differently.

i found that the old ones didnt change, but i got a few new ones.

now on baby 3 and nothing new so far, no red/angry etc and im 25+1

Thanks Herts just what I didn't want to hear LOL. Ah well at least I know, I'm definitely carrying differently this time round though I'm not sure where I could get more of them I'm pretty covered from navel down and hips too!! Navel up?!

sorry - but you did ask!!!! (i had no stretchmarks with ds1 - until i was in labour - then 5 appeared around my belly button!!!)

nope they stay the same.........but can grow iyswim.i didnt think i could possibly get any more stretchmarks but the feckers grew so i now have really faded ones and at the top they are red

I just got more with ds2, all vertical. Then with ds3 I got more again but horizontal.

My lower belly looked like a pair austrain blinds.

With Ds4 the vertical one jst got abit wider but no new one....not that I could tell anyway. It was already a mess so who knows!!

I got loads with DD1!! With DD2 ( 4yr gap)they just became redder but had no new ones. Now(15mths later) faded.

I had 9 yrs between ds1 and dd, I got 1 or two new ones, then 4 yrs later I was pregnant with ds2 and got no new ones at all!

think i just got a few more. existing ones may have gotslightly more stretched... all faded fairly soon tho.
i didnt have 'bad' onesbtw.
