Ive been feeling little flutters and the smallest of taps. Are these actual baby movements or just wind?! I dont know.

Im 17 weeks

Very possible! It’s quite hard to tell early on I find .. first pregnancy, I could feel a peculiar scratching like sensation from about 17 weeks that didn’t ever seemed associated with wind but not definite movements until 21 weeks. But this pregnancy, I’ve felt a swooshing like sensation from 16 weeks and this week, some jab like sensations that I’m fairly certain is baby.. I tend to get a bit of stomach ache or bloating with wind so I try to work if it feels similar or not!

@CAG12 I would say so I'm 18 + 3 weeks and I'm clearly feeling baby now I felt little flutters from 16 weeks but it's clear movements I can feel now so would be possible that you're feeling the baby!

Everyone said it was easy to confuse movements with wind so I felt like you when I felt flutters at 17 weeks but actually in retrospect, they were nothing like wind! So if you think it feels like a baby and not like gas then it probably is! x

Im also just over 17 weeks and think I've been feeling it too :)

18+4 and still can't feel anything! Anyone else in the same boat?

CAG12 · 14/10/2019 18:33

@sadtoday21 I wouldnt worry as its still super early. I only feel mine when im lying still at night and they defo are not in a pattern.

Also, juries still out - it might actually be wind 😂

Thanks @CAG12! I wanted to bump this with another question on movement - does anyone know the average time to feel movement for your first baby with an anterior placenta? Or have anecdotal evidence on this?
