I am 4 weeks pregnant (would of been due my period today) I have taken 8 very positive pregnancy tests over the last few days but since Thursday I have been having mild/moderate (not enough to need pain killers) lower back ache, similar to what I get before my period starts! It goes round into my hips and down my bum cheeks Blush I have had no bleeding though. Is this normal? If so how did you manage it? I can't stop the worry!

I had this with my son. I rung the early pregnancy unit and they scanned me. It was just my body adjusting to the fertilised egg. It lasted a few weeks and I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and birth. Try not to worry,, it was fine with me. Xx

@S4M11 thank you Smile that's reassuring to hear. It's strange how similar it feels to period pains!

If it helps at all the day I found out I was pregnant with my youngest I literally thought I was about to have the mother of all periods I was in agony I felt like crap and had done for days... it's only because my sister kept going on that I randomly did a test and low and behold I was pregnant lol. The pains died down eventually some women do still get period type pains around time the period is due, along as it isnt accompanied by bleeding you should be fine. You are allowed to take paracetamol if it gets too much for you and of course you can always speak with a midwife if your concerned to see what they say xx
