Hey so as it says I had my midwife appointment yesterday I've been booked in for glucose test which shes brought forward as she doesn't want me to wait I had +++ glucose in urine so of course they need to get me tested asap but she said they dont usually measure bump until 26 weeks but she measured me anyway and I'm measuring 28 weeks. I'm now being sent for a growth scan on my 20 week scan babys tummy was measuring above 97th centile... I'm not worried as such but wanted to know if anyone else has had the same as in measuring alot further on and what the outcome was??

I've read I could end up being induced/a-section or they could just monitor me to see how things go. Xx

I would say you’re doing just fine but please avoid outdoor food, takeouts etc. Eat proper home cooked food, lots of vegetables and fruits. Be abit active but do not over work yourself, listen to your body and just enjoy this time x

re bump size. Had mine measured at 28 weeks along with my glucose test. I was told I was measuring 4 weeks behind which was worrying. Once they scanned me baby was measuring correct for 28 weeks, in fact a little bigger than my previous pregnancies. The explanation I was given was measuring the bump isn't an accurate method to determine baby's size. Miscalculation can be due to what number child you are on/how the baby is lying/another midwife taking a measurement as opposed to your usual midwife.

Hey sorry for the late replys :) I had my GTT today and havnt heard anything back but I'm going to double check tomorrow incase they have the wrong number or something lol but basically got told I would get a phone fall today if I had it... I also had my scan baby is absolutely fine hes measuring on the top line but is following his line perfectly. Hes just going to have a chubby belly lol. Hes approx 2lb at 25 weeks (of course these can be wrong but we shall see) xx

Is this your first baby? If so, then expect to have another GTT scan if the bump keeps growing at the current pace. If not then it might be able to explained away by loose abs etc - but either way there should be regular growth scans from 28 weeks.

No it's my 3rd. The sonographer just said hes growing on his own line everything seems fine and that my midwife may request another scan later on but just to check on growth but for now everything is on track so not bad. I have my next app on 28th so I'll know then. I'm not worried now after the scan its put my mind at ease but My last was 9lb 8 born so I expected another big baby lol. Xx

My bump size was 'normal' , they told me to expect 6lb baby... had 8lber! And im very small framed... the bump measure is not accurate at all in my experience!

See my last two pregnancies I've always measured on par with what gestation I was but this one is being a pain in the bum making me measure further haha. I've read alot of not taking any notice of measurements anyway as I know they can be totally wrong. We shall see what happens in January when he comes lol :) xx
