Bit of a strange one. But I ended up in A & E last night due to collapsing over losing so much blood. I’ve bled heavily and lost clots a lot since giving birth just over 7 weeks ago on and off. They ran tests and said a pregnancy test is showing up positive however I’ve not had sex since before birth. So the doctor said it sounded like I might of had left over placenta/tissue etc so arranged a scan for me today and explained about the procedure to remove it. I had the scan and the results come back that there was nothing there so they think my body’s just got rid of everything on it’s on and that’s why I’m bleeding so heavy. So the doctors prescribed me northistrone to take for 10 days to try and control/stop the bleeding and asked me to do a pregnancy test in a weeks time and if it’s still showing positive to go back the hospital so they can investigate further. I just don’t feel confident in what they were saying as they were like your a mystery and we think this but aren’t certain. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? If so what was the reason it was showing the hormone so far after birth. Thankyou x
