Blood when I wipe!

Hi, so Tuesday I had some mild cramps and on the evening I had some light pink blood when I wiped, same again Wednesday morning hut it was darker and again only when I wiped after the loo. I went to the drs and she assured me it's fine and as I'm only 5weeks it's too early to scan. I was advised as I hadn't come on a period or had bad cramps I was fine. It's not every time I wipe but when its there it's dark brown but not actual blood, just like it's mixed in with my pee. It's not in my knickers or in the toilet bowl when I wee. I'm not too worried as I think it's spotting and classed as normal, but has anyone else had this and how long does it last? Xxxxx

Had the same around the same time, mainly light pink but a little bit brown. Was implantation bleeding.

Sorry and if lasted a couple of days. 35 weeks pregnant now and all safe and good ☺️

Thanks @MySonIsAlsoNamedBort are you sure it's implantation if i'm 5 weeks? It was pink on Tuesday but now it's brown and really faint. It's not every time I wipe which is good, mainly 80% of the time xxx

I used to get that after sex too.

Point is it could be a multitude of reasons. If you are worried, get it checked out.

If it’s not red and not getting worse then it should be okay. You could pay for a private early scan to reassure yourself from 7 weeks (it’s a transvaginal / internal scan).

Thanks @Teddybear45 I am seeing my dr tomorrow so I'll mention it, it'd gone the last time I checked so it's not getting worse and I've had no cramps so I'm keeping positive xx

Hello lovely. At 5 weeks I had painful cramps very low down. it lasted for about 20 minutes continuously and I was really worried. I didn't have any bleeding. I think it was implantation cramps. I am now 19 weeks xxx

@AliSxo hey hun sorry for jumping in on post , im getting the exact same as you right now and im a nervous wreck, im also 5 weeks , i have a uti was over at epu today getting cervix checked and seems closed at the moment feel a bit funny down below if you know what i mean? X

Hey @Chez13 I don't think it's gone well for me, this morning the blood was red, I went to the nurse and she said she can refer me next week once I'm 6 weeks, also she did a pregnancy test and it was a faint line, I've been bleeding today it's only just stopped. No cramps or any pain but I think I've lost it and I'm just resting xx hope your journey continues xxxx

@AliSxo i keep getting cramps on and off its like brown staining im getting , i had a scan on monday as i was getting pelvic pain and they couldnt see baby but could see sack and my blood levels were high but today started getting that brown stuff and in constantly running to the loo thinking its going to be alot , hope all is ok for you 😭🤞🏼 x

I had this, lots of red blood at 13 weeks, turned out it was a twin, I lost one but not the other. Another pregnancy, red bleeding at 5 weeks, turned out to be piles. Fingers and everything crossed for you.

I had SERIOUSLY bad cramps at the beginning, so much so that I was admitted to hospital for a week (I didn't know I was pregnant) because they thought it was intestinal issues (I have inflammatory bowel disease). It was honestly unbearable! A week later I found out I was actually pregnant. I'm 14 weeks now and still get cramps most days, it's all your bits stretching out for baby. I've had occasional light pink spotting too, and all is fine. I think it sounds like you're okay x

Hey @Chez13 it's really common to have bleeding in early pregnancy, the best thing is to book in with a dr or your midwife and just discuss it with them. If it's a MC it'll get worse and you'll lose your pregnant symptoms, my boobs weren't sore anymore and i came on a heavy period. I'm sure you're fine but book in with the dr if you're worried and take it easy xxxx

@AliSxo i still have the brown bleeding its been a few days now , booked a private scan last night and baby looks ok (for now) im hoping it stays put 😢🤞🏼 cramps are on and off , another nhs scan Tuesday x

Hey @Chez13 did you have a scan last night? Did they say it's common? If it's brown then at least it's old blood, have you seen a dr/midwife about it? Xxx

@AliSxo hey hun , went for scan n seen heartbeat she said all looked good but im still having this brown bleeding i just wish it would go away been there for almost a week now and im starting to panic a bit , have another scan on Tuesday at the hospital just hoping it stays put and it doesnt turn to mc 😏 x

Hey. I thought I was 8wks pregnant when I first got red spotting, I went to the doctors who booked me a scan and I had a sac and a yolk but no baby, they reckon I was only 6 weeks... I have been told to wait 10 days before I go back (not until Thursday) but since the past few days I have had brown bleeding when wiping, and mild cramps.. in hoping everything will be ok by the scan on Thursday, but anyone else experiencing the same?

@Ch31sey yes me hun , i went at just over 5 weeks and they couldn't see baby just sac then went back and could see baby and heartbeat 2 weeks later , but ive had brown bleeding as youl have read and thats been over a week and a bit now with cramps im back again tomorrow fir scan , i had spectulum done a week ago at early pregnancy and blood was present but they refused to scan me then and told me to come back tomorrow been a nervous wreck no idea whats going on never experienced anything like this before x
