Is this labour???

Nearly 39 weeks and tonight I’ve been on the loo a few times having a “clear out” (not sure if it was the fish supper I ate though 😳), crippling pelvic pain to the point I cannot walk without wondering if I’ll collapse, baby furiously moving around, tightenings non stop and unable to sleep. Does this sound like labour or wishful thinking?

Certainly could be! Equally could be a false alarm... sorry! Good luck Flowers

Maybe ring your midwife/labour ward and ask their advice or to go in for a check up and see?

BigusBumus · 10/10/2019 13:50

Doing all the poo your body is holding is a sign of labour yes.

Imonlydoingwhatican · 10/10/2019 13:57

Sounds like your body is gearing up, i suggest you try to rest up as mu h as you can as this might go on for a few days (fingers crossed it doesnt). If the pain becomes to much call midwife, dont wait for waters to go (as they may not on their own).
Best of luck x

How are you feeling now?

TMI alert

I had a massive clear out just hours before I gave birth. Sitting on the toilet and boking at the same time.

How exciting!!!

All seems “fine” today weirdly. The pelvic pain has eased off a bit (still bad when I’m sitting down but not as intense as through the night). I hate the unknown! I’ve been trying to be active today in the vain hope it keeps things moving in the right direction. Is it impossible to say if labour is impending?

Anyone else had the same thing and then labour came on soon? My patience is low 🙈

@charlieson I've been having the same symptoms and am also in my 39th week! Although I've had this on and off for awhile so not getting my hopes up too high but am like you and very ready to meet this baby!!

Sw2102 · 10/10/2019 19:57

This is similar to me today too.. 39+4 and impatient! Hope it moves along for you soon!

CharlieSon · 10/10/2019 21:11

I just wish I knew when it was going to kick off for real 😳

If it helps at all with my 2nd I had pain for weeks before I went into labour but at 1 day late I felt absolutely fine my pains stopped I had lots of energy all.of a sudden so I gave up hope he was coming anytime soon until 5pm that evening and it hit me like a ton of bricks!! Labour come in very fast for me it was very intense lol.

So just try not think about it as such it will come soon enough but get bouncing/walking see if you can help things along xx
