Growth scans??

So I was sent to labour ward today for monitoring of reduced movements (30weeks) monikered 3 minutes into monitoring baby moved! All monitoring was perfect!
Reg asked me if I had growth scans booked , which I don't .
I had them in my previous pregnancies due to having oc, however I'm still undiagnosed in this pregnancy even thou I continue to itch!
She said she would class me as oc even though bloods don't match as it's 90% chance to get again, and would look to see if I meet any risk factors so I can have growth scans.
Midwife has just come and said they have booked me for scans (first within 72hoirs) on the fact I was a previous smoker!?
I haven't questioned this as to be honest I'm glad of the extra monitoring as I worry due to not having my diagnosis yet! But I've never heard of this? Because I used to smoke?? Anyone any experiences in having scans because you used to smoke?

I'm pregnant with my 4th and was told this time I will have growth scans as I'm an ex smoker was never offered them with my others even tho I smoked before all three pregnancy was told because I'm an ex smoker I'm more likely to have a small baby I said if that was the case why was my last 10lb 4

I think the guidelines have changed alot this past year as this time I've got to have flu jab and whooping cough but never had to in last pregnancy xx

@Mummylanie3 haha I know so strange I mean mine were born early so we're small but nothing to do with smoking like a say I'm glad of it just found it strange xx

I had my booking in appointment last week and was told from 28 weeks I will have growth scans as I said it all seems different this time round but my other kids are 18/14/8 so been a long time since I was pregnant lol

@Mummylanie3 similar to me mine are 16 and 11 so all new again but I was never told that I'm 30 weeks so strange o thought doctor was trying to get round reason by using that lol a dunno haha
