37 weeks today and I'm 2 inches away from having a breakdown. Life is too stressful at the moment and I can't change anything.

Stress can have impact on the baby as they are a part of you they feel what you feel but nothing more-do you have a avenue to help relieve stress eg pregnancy yoga?you cant escape stress every one has it is there anyone you could talk to about this?

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 09:44

No I have absolutely nobody. As my family will blame me for having a baby with a penniless man. My DM will complain that she's not Santa Claus and my DH won't do a thing, he has no money, he can't get it and that's the end of it.

Is it just money issues that's the problem?

GlitterSparkle85 · 08/10/2019 09:50

I'm really sorry to hear this is he not willing to help with the child he had help in creating?its so hard to talk to people about issues such as this especially if you feel embarrassed or not able to. Is there any solutions to help you out or a C.A.B you could go to?well just tell her that you need helpful advice not to be looked down upon

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 09:58

No, it's not just money. That was the last straw. I almost died last time I gave birth and I'm trying not to worry about that either.

CAB can't help, it's a house deposit that is the main issue ATM.

I had an unbelievably stressful pregnancy, stress you couldn't imagine and my boy came out fine - in fact he's just the sweetest little thing and I feel like he's an extra beautiful gift from god/karma/nature for putting up with all that stress

Teddybear45 · 08/10/2019 10:36

When experts talk about the impact of stress on a pregnancy, they talk about sudden and serious things such as huge acts of war / nature / bereavements. While I appreciate the ptsd around your previous birth and the stress of not being able to save up for a house deposit is serious to you, it won’t have any impact to the baby’s health.

Lunafortheloveogod · 08/10/2019 10:39

Is it a deposit for a rented home? There’s schemes around the country that pay it for you and then you pay them back over time, there’s also landlords that allow no deposit with higher rent?
CAB might actually be able to refer you or your local council/another welfare charity. Obviously we don’t know the area to give specifics

Passthecherrycoke · 08/10/2019 10:40

I guess there is a risk around your blood pressure going up

GlitterSparkle85 · 08/10/2019 10:49

Are you under a consultant this time round or having extra montioring due to your last pregnancy?speak to your midwife if it's really making you feel anxious about giving birth. Are you able to talk to your DH about your feelings that you can support one another?

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 10:51

No, it's the deposit to buy a house, which might or might not happen. But all money managing and most of the income relies on me.

My DH hasn't bought anything for the baby, he has no money I get it, but if he knows all the stress I'm in, I don't understand how a "you're raising your voice" is going to help. He hasn't been involved in it really as it's not "his" money so everything falls on me.

The MWs have been lovely within their limits, they're doing everything they can so I don't get induced and I'm at a lower risk of rupture. I also want to avoid a c section as that's what almost killed me.

Doesn't he work?is he at least trying to find a job have you suggested to buy anything sometimes people see it as if you're getting it why do I have to? Thats a positive that they are looking out for you and you'll be in the best place and care for your birth

Passthecherrycoke · 08/10/2019 10:59

OP can you say a little more as to why a house deposit is suddenly urgent? I would’ve assumed you either had one or not before you started looking. Are you supposed to pay it now and suddenly don’t have it?

Because otherwise, with day to day stress, you need to try and manage it. No one else will. Take each day at a time. I know it’s hard- I was hysterical about money in my pregnancy- but it’s also sort of futile at this stage.

However your baby will be fine x

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 11:14

We thought that we could a) show it later in the process b) be able to not jump through hoops to prove where it came from. My DM has very own particular ideas about money and she's flying with a bag of money from overseas.

Passthecherrycoke · 08/10/2019 11:17

Ah ok so is it application stage? That is stressful. I would do whatever they need- can’t you just say your mum is gifting it to you and she signs a form to confirm? That’s what we did. But If she wants to keep it in her bag and not pay it into your account then yes, she is being a bit of an arse 😫

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 11:29

Well it's problematic it always has been. The will/trust says that in the end all money / rent form the property will be given to me based on my DMs good judgement. So regardless of that piece of paper I'm at my mum's will.

She won't transfer the money as it she already has it in cash :( so it looks like money laundering but it isn't. It's technically not a gift (as its stated in a will) but as if it's up to my DM it might as well be one!

Just pull out of the house. Have your baby. Revisit this in 6 months.

Rainbowhairdontcare · 08/10/2019 11:44

Btw he does work, but he just doesn't make enough to fully pay his bills (even if it's FT, but at MW with high commuting costs I get he doesn't make enough).

Oh dear that's a shame money matters are never easy especially involving family I truly hope you find a resolution to this. The stress will end and you'll be happier for it once you get to the other side of it as distant as that may seem wishing you the best xxxHalo
